I spent some time yesterday writing (8 pages so far) about how to start teaching sewing. Does this interest you? If so, lets keep in touch. There is a big market out there of people wanting to learn to sew, and I trying to make a way to help experienced sewers to teach. Email me at barbara@getsewing.com

Bow Tied Tray
I wrote a new pattern last night, see photo.
I use it on trips, pack in my suitcase, use in hotels to keep my personal items in, or to have chips, popcorn, using it as a bowl.  It could be made in rectangles or squares. You could make one to fit your casserole dish to keep it warm while serving. The bows untie to lay it flat. It can be washed and dried in machine. Makes nice gifts.

Crocheting & Knitting Baby Hats

I've been crocheting and knitting newborn baby hats.  I was inspired by a friend, Kim, who helps her husband in his photography business. They've photographed babies. The trend now is to put funky or pretty knitted or crocheted hats on the naked newborn baby for it's first photos. She bought some from me, but, I was so inspired, I made lots of them. So many that I had to list them online for sale. Take a look, click HERE.

Went on a driving vacation. Supposed to be 2+1/2 weeks in the mountains of Colorado and Utah. On the second day in there in CO, I fell on snow, up high in the mountain (11,00o ft). and broke my ankle. My husband drove us 2+1/2 hours to hospital in Alamosa. Diagnosis: broken ankle. They put on a splint. After another day of rest, we drove home, which took two days. Yesterday I went to an orthopedist who says I don't need surgery (yipee!) and put on a cast. Some vacation!

Today is our first day waking up without a pet in the house. One of our twin beagles passed away in March, yesterday the other one. We find ourselves looking to the spots where she'd usually be. I found myself waking up today grieving.

Hotness - Dressing TOO Sexy.

Hotness. I've been reading this study that goes along with the Sexy Girls: How Hot is Too Hot. It's a great pocket-size study book for preteen and teen girls, even women about: What does God think about your wardrobe and your body? Make you think before you choose what to wear.
